it's like they made it just for me!
As may be apparent to the readers of this blog, I enjoy my gettin' crunk from time to time, but i'm really just an indie kid with... rhythmic aspirations.

So... when I heard about Skeet Spirit - a crunk tribute to Radiohead, I was excited. But not as excited as when I actually listened to it. Sheeit! it may just be instrumental but it's bangin - and it's really fun to bump in my car with its recent addition of subwoofers (I swear, it's just for reference on mixes. Really).

Anyway, I put it up on my site in case the temporary hosting providers DJ GNGYVYTUS (how's that for unpronounceable) has set up decide they don't like the bandwith consumed by millions of rabid Radiohead fans and crunk lovers. Even if you're not a fan of crunk, it's good for a laugh as it's really well put together - bassy, synth-driven, a little on the sparse side, with plenty of that classic overactive, sputtering snare.

update: so apparently this was made by some guy on the something awful forums. i'm linking info on how he made it because... well, i'm a geek like that. I don't really need an excuse. The funny thing is, somethingawful is very...white, or at least it's got that 'feel' to the humor and culture. The guy's name (from domain registration records, assuming all info is up to date) is Mark D'Arensbourg, if you want to make assumptions based on that...
